Welcome to the home of Krusade.

Krusade are a four piece Classic Rock Covers Band, all with tremendous experience, who enjoy playing Rock Covers from the last 40 years. The vocalist, Chalkie, is based in Chesterfield whilst rest of the members are Notts based.

Being a Classic Rock Covers Band, Krusade play many old covers such as, AC/DC’s Let There Be Rock, Free’s Wishing Well, Whitesnake’s Here I Go Again, Rainbow’s Since You’ve Been Gone, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band’s Faith Healer and many many more.

You’ll be amazed at how many songs you can remember when Krusade perform them.

Ric is the bass player with Krusade  and used to play bass with ‘Dawn Trader’, Nottingham’s best Rock band in the 1980’s. If you remember them, there is a discussion page on facebook. Go to Dawn Trader - Nottingham’s best rock band. You may need to be a member of facebook to look at this site. There are some interesting  pictures there too! To learn more about Ric please go to about. Also go to You-Tube page on this site & see Dawn Trader Perform at Rock City, Nottingham in 1981 & 1982.

In 2009, Dawn Trader decided to reform to, celebrate their 30th anniversary with some of the original line up including Ric, but with Pete, drummer with Krusade (not in original line up). Dawn Trader may be performing some more gigs in 2010. To check dates, please go to Dawn Trader.

Interesting Fact - In the July 2008 edition of Classic Rock Magazine, journalist Paul Elliott, wrote a feature about Def Leppard and revealed, in the Communication Breakdown page, that Joe Elliott’s second favourite band after ‘Mott The Hoople’ is, ‘Witchfynde’. This is the band Chalkie, vocalist with Krusade, was a member! Go to, about to learn more about Chalkie.

Chalkie, aka Luther Beltz, played 4 dates with Witchfynde at the end of 2008. In March 2009, Chalkie performed again with Witchfynde at the ‘Up The Hammers’ festival, in Athens. Go to You-Tube page on this site & see Luther Betz perform the excellent Moon Magic & Stab in the Dark at the festival.

Chalkie continues to perform with Witchfynde. For more information about Witchfynde, please go to Witchfynde.
